Can I change the language for the button text in Formfacade?

This is a common question from people whose users do not read English. A form with its buttons in English looks unfinished and some of them will not know what to click. In Google Forms, there is no option to choose the language of the button text for your form. Formfacade supports major international languages by default and you can choose the language for each form, so your users will see the buttons in the language they read. Even better, the form will have your own branding instead of Google's, so it looks like it was made for them.

Let's start. Create your form and follow the steps below.

How to change the language of the buttons?

  • On the page that opens, name your form, click Build form and click Proceed. It can take about a minute.
  • You will land on the form's "Preview" tab.
  • Click on "Edit" tab
The tabs Edit, Preview, Share and Responses, with Edit marked
  • Scroll down to the end of the form and click on the gear icon on the last "After page" row. It says "After page 1" on a form with one page. The panel can take a few seconds to open, so click once.
  • If it asks "Button not configured!", click No.

  • Button settings panel will be displayed
  • Select the required "Language" from the dropdown. It applies to this form only.
  • Click on the "Save" button

The buttons on your form will now be in that language. For example, with French, Next becomes SUIVANT, Back becomes RETOUR and Submit becomes ENVOYER.
There is another Language list under the "Page" tab in Preview. That one has the "Apply to all forms" button, so it applies to all your forms.

Summary

If your users speak another language, you cannot choose the language of the button text in Google Forms. With Formfacade, you can select the language in the Button tab and your form will use it. Create your form and complete the steps above.
