Zomi Innkuan USA (ZIUSA), a Zomi Community Organization based in the USA, has established the ZIUSA Scholarship Program to support Zomi students pursuing higher education. This scholarship, awarded based on academic merit, is exclusively available to Zomi students.

Scholarship Timeline

  • March 15, 2025: Applications due
  • March 15 to May 31, 2025: Selection process and interviews
  • June 2025: Scholarship winners announced

  • Two letters of recommendations
  • High school transcript
  • College transcript (except for high school seniors)
  • Personal photo
  • Personal statement essay (min: 500 words, max: 750 words)

The objectives of the Zomi Scholarship Program are:
  1. To alleviate the financial barriers that frequently impede students' aspirations for higher education
  2. To facilitate access to comprehensive education for Zomi students through financial support
Scholarship Award Value

The Scholarship Award provides $2,500 per recipient for students enrolled in U.S.-based institutions and $1,500 per recipient for those attending institutions outside the U.S. The award may be granted to up to two recipients each from U.S. and non-U.S. institutions annually.

Applicants must:
  1. Have a high school equivalent standards set by the government agency.
  2. Plan to attend an accredited college or university in the upcoming academic year.
  3. Must complete application form by due date and provide all required documents.
