Conference Evening Social Event:
The SLA will be hosting an 'Authors Evening' after Day 1 of the conference on Monday 25th September. Participants who choose to attend this evening will travel by bus to and from the Ascot Park Hotel to Bluff for the event. You will get to listen to and mix and mingle with authors while enjoying a two course meal and drinks. This event is an additional cost of $80 per person to the registration cost. This event will work on a 'first in, first served' basis due to limited numbers.

Books for Oceania:
The NZLA is committed to developing literacy awareness in Pacific Island schools. The NZLA and Scholastic raise awareness and purchase books from funds donated by attendees at Literacy Conferences. The importance of this is huge with all the much needed funds going to schools in Oceania such as Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands.
If you personally, or your school/group, would like to make a contribution to this outstanding cause, please complete the Books for Oceania section in your registration process. All contributions will be added to your invoice and then passed on to Books for Oceania. This may be an area your BOT would be happy to donate to. Even a small amount can go a long way for these tamariki and schools.

Invoices will be emailed to the school/group email or individual email. All invoices must be paid via online banking to the SLA by the date and bank account stated on the invoice. We do not accept credit cards or cash. Registrations will be fully confirmed once payment has been received.

We will be in contact with all registered attendees via email by the end of May 2023 with further conference information.
