Rules for equestrian classes

1. The judges' and officials' decision is final in all matters without stating a reason. Any objection must be put in writing and lodged with the secretary, together with a deposit of £30, within 15 minutes of close of a class.

2. Entries taken online by 30th July 2023 or on the day

3. All ages taken on the day of the show unless specified.

4. The schedule will run as printed unless exceptional circumstances prevail, when any alteration will be at the
sole discretion of the Equine Committee.

5. Every endeavour has been made to avoid classes clashing, however, competitors are reminded to consider any possible clashes before entering.

6. Hard hats must be to the one of the following standards:
- PAS_015 (1998 or 2011) or VG1 01.040 (2014-12) or ASTM F1163 (2004a or 04a onwards) or SNELL E2001 or E2016 AS/NZS 3838 (2006 onwards) and are always to be worn when mounted.

7. No entry fee will be refunded.

8. All competitors should have appropriate insurance to cover themselves and their equines.

9. Passports are to be produced on request for all equines on site.

10. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any competitor.

11. Any accompanying cars will be charged entry.

12. All dogs to be kept on leads and cleaned up after.

NO HORSE MAY COMPETE UNLESS IT HAS A CURRENT VACCINATION AGAINST EQUINE INFLUENZA WHICH COMPLIES WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
  • TWO INJECTIONS FOR PRIMARY VACCINATION, NOT LESS THAN 21 DAYS AND NOT MORE THAN 92 DAYS APART ARE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE:
  • A FIRST BOOSTER INJECTION MUST BE GIVEN WITHIN SEVEN MONTHS AFTER THE SECOND OF PRIMARY INJECTION.
  • SUBSEQUENT BOOSTER INJECTIONS MUST BE GIVEN AT INTERVALS OF NOT MORE THAN ONE YEAR, COMMENCING AFTER THE FIRST BOOSTER INJECTION.
ANY EQUINE FOUND TO NOT BE APPROPRIATELY VACCINATED WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE SHOWGROUND.
