Call for Summit Proposals

Proposal Submission Information

We invite proposals from innovative practitioners, scholars, researchers, industry leaders working to address and examine aspects of trauma, accessibility, post-pandemic challenges and the ongoing social and systemic issues that hinder performance and retention.

Proposals should be engaging and apply to one of the three tracks:
  • Leadership & Management
  • Healthcare & Behavioral Science
  • Education
Suggested Topics may include, but are not limited to the following :
  • Systemic oppression and mental health
  • Leadership accountability and awareness of mental health
  • Trauma informed practices
  • Mental health and impact to employee performance and engagement
  • Collective trauma
  • Invisible and visible disabilities, accessibility challenges and solutions
  • Impact of COVID-19 on mental health
  • Shifting perceptions of mental illness and addiction
  • Impact of social justice uprising on mental health
  • Dismantling the toxic workplace
Proposals should identify an intended delivery approach for the session:
  • What is Research Telling Us (Predominantly research based)  - Content may include sharing of the latest research and trends related to the topic presented.
  • Inclusive Leadership in Practice (Predominantly experiential/practice-based) - Content may include best practices, real-time examples, exploring innovative approaches to challenges, etc. 
Proposal recommended components and selection process:
  • We are interested in sessions that will address some of the following questions in relation to the session's topic and the theme for this year's Summit:  What are existing challenges? who do they impact Why do these challenges exist? how do these show up in the workplace or classroom? How to address these challenges within your spheres of influence?
  • Proposals are anticipated to highlight a deeply relevant topic in alignment with the summit's theme and chosen track, share best practices, latest research, and trends, and/or explore innovative solutions.
  • In proposals with multiple presenters, there need to be a conscious effort made to diversify the make-up of the individuals presenting.
  • Attention will be given to presentations that are highly interactive in format and can address the needs of a wide range of organizational/institutional types and sizes.
  • Proposals must include complete contact information for all presenters.
  • Concurrent sessions will be approximately 60 minutes including time for questions from the audience.
  • Digital copies of presentation materials will be collected from presenters in advance of the conference for dissemination via the event platform.
  • All proposals will be reviewed end of January and selections made by early to mid February.
  • The Inclusive Leadership Summit Review Committee reserves the right to revise presentation titles, designate a conference track, combine sessions, or edit the description of selected presentations for promotional and program publications.
Presenters: If there will be more than one speaker, please designate one as the "Primary Presenter" to complete this form including details for all co-presenters, there should be no more than 5 speakers per session.
 
Note: Approved presenters will not receive an honorarium.
