Vot-ER Research Collaborators

Vot-ER is an organization launched at Harvard Medical School working to integrate civic engagement into healthcare. Our research team is comprised of physicians, researchers, social scientists and medical students focused on exploring the intersection between political behavior and health outcomes. Our research has described the connection between voting and health outcomes, explored how voting could be taught in medical school classroom, and demonstrated how came up gamification could be used to increase voting behavior among medical students.

Our team is now looking to collaborate with interested social scientists, PhD students, Masters level students considering a PhD, and postdocs who are a) early-mid career and b) interested in researching the political determinants of health, civic health, or strengthening the connection between voting and health outcomes. The field of civic health is a new field in the medical, political, and sociological literature and their team is looking for research pioneers to help develop the future of this work.

Vot-ER has raised over $1.2M dollars in research funding from foundations such as Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Carnegie Corporation, Langeloth Foundation, and many others: https://vot-er.org/supporters/
